Bioproducts are materials produced by the action of Monads such as yeasts, bacteria, molds, fungi, and other microorganisms. They could be considered subclasses of plant materials or animal materials, but for the most part plant and animal materials are produced without human intervention, whereas mead, bread, and cheese are cases where humans introduce specific strains of organisms into the process.

If the WHO LEM ever gets included, this category will burgeon to several dozens of entries because many medicines (particularly antibiotics and anticancer medicines) come almost directly from Monads, particularly varieties of streptococcus.
