Spirit of hartshorn

Spirit of hartshorn is produced by dry distilling any of several naturally occurring materials, including horn, antler, hair, nails, hooves, and presumably leather. It contains (among other materials) Ammonium carbonate, Ammonium bicarbonate, and Ammonium carbamate, and isa source for all three compounds.
