Synthesis
Combine copper sulfate and sodium bicarbonate in water giving copper carbonate, which can be filtered from the solution
- 2 CuSO4 + 2 NaHCO3 + H2O → Cu2(OH)2CO3 + 2 NaHSO4 + CO2 // bicarbonates
- 2 CuSO4 + 2 NaCO3 + H2O → Cu2(OH)2CO3 + 2 NaSO4 + CO2 // carbonates
