Salt is a mixture of compounds, primarily sodium chloride but including minority substituents of potassium bromine and iodine.
Uses
- Source of sodium chloride, an essential nutrient
Natural occurrence
- In solid form, it is a mineral called halite.
- Salt is almost 3% of salt water by weight.
